This Is Bunk!

I cut up an old bed frame, drilled holes in the pieces, and attached them to the bunk frames to support the bunk boards.

The lip on the wall where the seats were bolted to will support the lower bunks on the wall side.

I made a jig to keep all the brackets uniform.

The bunk boards are 1/2" plywood.

I used 1/4" x 1 1/2" lag bolts to secure them. They should be strong enough, with 8 of them. 2 on each end, and 3 on each side.

Once everything was trimmed to fit, Brandyn painted the plywood, as well as the bunk frames.

Here is the finished product.
